ZRDC’s Organic and Sustainable Agriculture Projects promote climate-smart, environmentally responsible farming practices that enhance productivity while protecting natural ecosystems. These initiatives address food security, soil degradation, and climate change challenges in Zambia.

Organic Fertilizer and Vermicomposting Program
Production and testing of organic fertilizers, including vermicomposting for soil regeneration.
Over 5 tonnes of organic fertilizer tested and validated.
Bokashi Bran Initiative
Low-cost organic soil enhancer supporting smallholder farmers to improve yields sustainably.
Climate-Resilient Maize Project
Introduced in 2025, supporting 1,250+ farmers with resilient seed varieties and sustainable practices.
