ICU Cyber Security Association Hosts Cyber CTF Decipher 2025
The Information and Communications University (ICU) today held the Cyber CTF Decipher 2025 under the theme ‘mUnlock the Digital World,” an event organized by the university’s Cyber Security Association and sponsored by ICU, ZRDC, and ZEDbounty.
In his opening remarks, Guest of Honor Mr. Mainza urged students to take cybersecurity seriously and act ethically, emphasizing the need for fresh minds in the cyber space.
ICU Cybersecurity Vice President Mr. Trust encouraged the association to remain committed to creating platforms that build student capacity. Representatives from ZEDbounty also commended the association’s efforts to provide hands-on experiences and urged students to embrace such learning opportunities.
The event concluded with awards presented to outstanding participants, with Charmant Liberakurora scooping first place and receiving K1,000, Mapalo Mabo Mwelwa taking second place with K700, and Collins Kalengo finishing third with a prize of K500.
The competition highlighted the university’s growing role in shaping the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
